The Author Helper Suite Help – Series Performance Report
We’ve been working with Bonnie Paulson from Finding Your Indie for a long time and she’s shared with us one of the reports she uses to gauge the performance of her ads.
The goal of the report is to be able to understand at a glance how well a particular series is doing with its current campaigns without needing to get too deep into the weeds. You can either stick with Bonnie’s default measure of success, or you can tweak the ratio to your liking. The ratio measures the success of spend-to-net revenue per series. Ad spends and Other Expenses are taken into account.
Bonnie shared her methodolgy for managing this, and we agreed a new report needed to be added straightaway!
Please note that it is the sole responsibility of the author to verify all data and make spending decisions accordingly.
Setting Your Own Defaults
If you would prefer to use your own ratio-to-star values, you may do so by clicking the “Set your own custom defaults here” link.
The system will automatically adjust the values to be sure they don’t overlap.
The lower range value for each star is inclusive. The upper range value is not.
For example, if you set the lower range value for 3 Stars to be 2.5 and the lower range value for 4 stars to be 3.0, the system will determine if a campaign is at 3 stars as follows:
If range value is equal to or greater than 2.5 and is less than 3.0, it is a 3 star campaign.
